He was predeceased by: his wife Jenny Nee Della Volpe; his granddaughter Melissa Anne Del Vecchio; his parents, Pasquale Del Vecchio and Angela Nee Di Ruggero; and his siblings, Vito, Nicholas, Silvio, Melinda and Josephine.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Jr (Deborah) and Ronald Del Vecchio; and his grandchildren, Richard III and Jessica (John Schomaker). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's hospital or Clara Mass Medical Center Foundation.
