She was predeceased by: her parents, George Grigsby Smith and Margaret Ella (Robinson); her siblings, Herman Smith and Dorothy Tascoe; and her children, Glenna Boggs of West Orange, Michael Chavies of Miami, Leslie Chavies of Cliffwood and Brian Chavies of Jersey City.
She is survived by: her sister Annie Bee Smith; her children-in-law, Otis Boggs and Pamela Chavies; her grandchildren, Lisa Boggs-Layton (Stewart), Jason Boggs (Sharda) and Chance Chavies; and her great grandchildren, Torry Boggs and Kyndall Boggs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
