He was predeceased by: his former wife Edna Snyder Fono; his daughter Penelope Fono; and his brother Peter Fono. He is survived by: his wife Ingeborg Fono; his children, Nicholas Fono, Willi Waizenegger and Brigitte Parisen (David Parisen); and his grandchildren, Ian Parisen, Victoria Parisen and Christopher Waizenegger.
