He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Loebel and Alice Loebel (Strauch); his sister Bette; and his son Charlie. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Caren; his son-in-law Neil; his stepdaughter Karin; his son-in-law Bob; his stepson William; his daughter-in-law Marie; his grandchildren, Zachary (Cristina), Chloe and Emma; his great grandchild Lily; and his former spouse Sheilah. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to their chosen charity.
