She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Cristoforo (Lenza) and Pietro Cristoforo; her husband Joseph Formento; her former husband Frank Lanzilotta; her son Joseph A Formento III; and her siblings, Nicholas, Michael Christopher, Peter Cristoforo, Dolly Pooler and Caroline Cristoforo.
She is survived by: her daughters, June Vassallo (George) and Pati Herndon (James); her grandchildren, Tara Bowers (Ted), Jeanine Kolesar (Mike), Adam and Lyn Formento; her great grandchildren, Dane, Cole and Ava Bowers; her brother Anthony Cristoforo (Theresa); her sister-in-law Virginia Cristoforo; her niece Teresa Thornborough; and her close friend Lilly Kejzman. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, Godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Sophie be made to; St Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or the Charity of One's Choice.
