He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret E. Johnson-Childers (Robert M. Childers Sr.); his grandson Delray Sadler; his brother Michael Childers; and his brothers-in-law, Alfred Palmer and Charles Bell.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Childers-Brown (Lisa) of Bridgeton, NJ, Benita Childers of Millville, NJ and Elizabeth Childers of Sicklerville, NJ.; his stepson Cory Reaves of Vineland, NJ; his siblings, Herman Johnson (Juanita) of Connecticut, Irene Childers of Delaware, Barbara Ann Childers of Vineland, NJ, Deborah of Bridgeton, NJ., Margaret Childers (Preston) of Bridgeton, NJ., Gloria Childers-Palmer of Bridgeton, NJ. and Janet Childers-Peterson (Willie) of Bridgeton, NJ.; his aunt Cecilia Pierce of Millville, NJ.; and his uncles, Ronald Johnson (Lorraine) of Vineland, NJ and Milton Johnson of Salem, NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
