He was predeceased by: his stepmother Helen Slater (Abbott); his stepsister Pat Lashley; and his daughter-in-law Phoebe Slater. He is survived by: his wife Carol Joyce Slater (Sutton) of Millville; his children, Steve Slater (Pam) of Millville, Tim Slater (Maureen) of Barrington and Kathy Sieri (Phil) of Millville; his brother James Slater of Dividing Creek; his grandchildren, Nicole, Jeremy, Desiree, Marlee, Ryan, Shannon and Kristen; and his great grandchildren, Aurora, Scarlet, Amelia and Max.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Toms name be made to the First Presbyterian Church on Maurice River, 119 N. 2nd Street, Millville, NJ 08332.
