He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian Pettit; his former wife Patricia Coobick; and his parents, Thressa Pettit, and Lewis A. Pettit, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Gallagher (Brian), Lewis Pettit III and Debora Palen (Kenneth); his stepchildren, Roxanne McCracken and Ronda Cushner; and his sisters, Doris Ogle and Shirley Plumline. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
