Karen Jean Bentz Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Jean Bentz of Millville, New Jersey, born in Vineland, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Karen Jean departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Karen Jean may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Karen Jean leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul E. Bentz and Joan Bentz (Benton). She is survived by: her daughters, Ami Tharp of Vineland and Allison Perry of Millville; her siblings, Janet Spada (Lynn) of Villas and Paul Bentz of Vineland; and her friend Kieth Allen of Pittsgrove.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home (43 Delsea Dr S, Glassboro, NJ 08028). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that those wishing to honor Karen's memory make a small donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
