He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Brien and Julia O'Brien; and his granddaughter Lisa Auerbach. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth O'Brien; his children, Elizabeth Goracy (Joseph) of Smithville, NJ and Edward H. O'Brien (Gerda) of Clark, NJ.; his grandson Edward J. O'Brien (Michelle); and his great grandchildren, Julia, Ethan O'Brien and Jennifer Gaspar.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crabiel Home For Funerals (170 N Main St, Milltown, NJ 08850). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (899 E Lincoln Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854).
