Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Samuel Bonura of Millstone Township, New Jersey, born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 92, on March 27, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bonura and Elizabeth Bonura (Biondo); his siblings, Stephano Bonura, Stephen Bonura and Angelina Casabianca; his brother-in-law Peter Mazzagatti; his nieces, MaryAnn Schultz, Patty Harry and Carol Bonura; and his nephew Brian Bonura.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Mazzagatti); his children, John Bonura (Donna) of Bluffton, Diane Ripa (Ben) of Millstone Township, NJ and Mary Ann Lepping (Jack) of Brielle, NJ.; his grandchildren, Lauren Giallella (Louis), Michael Kapuscienski (Nicole), Samantha Kapuscienski, Krista Franki (Matt), Jenna Mudd (Taylor), Jessica Kolesnik (Michael), John Bonura (Megan), Ryan Ripa (Jackie) and Christopher Ripa (Amanda); and his caregivers, Willie, Rose and Griselda. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lester Home (16 Church St W, Jamesburg, NJ 08831). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Nativity of the Lord Church (185 Applegarth Rd, Monroe Township, NJ 08831).
In lieu of flowers, the Bonura family requests for those who wish to send a donation to the St. Jude Hospital and The Lep Foundation for Youth Education.
