He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester A. Bellis, Sr. and Viola Bellis (Smith); and his wife Doris E. Bellis. He is survived by: his daughters, Tammi J. Whitehead (Benjamin) of Easton, PA and Sherri L. Karcher (Chris) of Holland Township, NJ; and his grandchildren, Joshua Whitehead (Amanda), Dani Thomas (Adam), Melinda Wentz, Corey Karcher (Brenda), Tyler Karcher and Rebecca Karcher. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.

“I was so sorry to hear of Chet's passing. I worked with Chet for several years at Hughesville mill in shipping & customer service. And if my memory serves me right we were in the bowling. League. I also enjoyed waiting on he & Doris at the Riegelsville fire co. Breakfast each month. A great couple who now are in eternal peace together forever. My sympathies, Fran Chavar”
