He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Deborah; his children, Jason Donkersloot (Jennifer) of Hawthorne and Alison Botbyl (Scott) of Hawthorne; his grandchildren, Kyle Donkersloot of Hawthorne, Brandon Botbyl of Hawthorne and Brett Botbyl of Hawthorne; and his siblings, Donna Dougherty of Knoxville, TN, Lorna Donkersloot and James Donkersloot of Fayston, VT..

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
