It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Maskin of Middlesex, New Jersey, born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Spritzer and Hortense Spritzer; her husband Leonard Maskin; her siblings, Henry Spritzer and Dolly Spritzer; and her sister-in-law Rita Spritzer.

She is survived by: her sons, Harry Maskin (Yvonne) of Metuchen, NJ, Michael Maskin (Karen) of Burlington, NJ, Jonathan Maskin (Nicholas) of Fort Washington, MD and Gary Maskin (Monica Mayhill) of Seattle, WA.; her grandchildren, Martin (Gwendolyn), Renee and Olivia; her great grandchildren, Elle and Ezra; her sister Maggi Salfi (Robert); and her brother-in-law David Grobstein.

“It is with great sadness that such a wonderful person has passed away. I have worked with Sara at Anshe Emeth rummage sale for many many years. I always told her, " when I grow up, I want to be just like you". She always laughed. I called her about 1 1/2 weeks ago. She was so excited for Rosh Hashanah to come so she could celebrate the holiday with her family. I hope she got her wish. My sincere condolences to her entirel family.”
