Vilma T. Hurst Obituary
We bid farewell to Vilma T. Hurst of Metuchen, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Vilma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Slawski and Vilma Slawski (Starovic); her husband George S. Hurst; her siblings, Ann Urban (Slawski) and Robert Slawksi; her children, Arlene Kluska and Charles Reuter; her son-in-law Daniel Kluska; and her grandchildren, Stacey Kluska and Joshua Reuter.
She is survived by: her sons, James Reuter (Rebecca Buck) and Steven Reuter (Tyreen); and her stepchildren, Susan Olender (Jim), Kathy Hurst and Steven Hurst, Sr. (Patti). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home - Metuchen (568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery.
