He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Dodd (Parowski) and Richard Dodd; and his sister Christine Patricia Dodd. He is survived by: his children, Christine Dodd (Ryan Grace), Richard Dodd (Bernadette Szenasy) and Danielle Santiago (Freddy); his grandchildren, Christian Dodd, Julian and Lucas Santiago; and his siblings, Bill Dodd, Mary DiDario and Elizabeth Ann Brinkofski. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
