He was predeceased by: his wife Edith; and his siblings, Dominic and Mary. He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Connelly (Joseph) of Edison; his grandchildren, Ann Marie Altavilla (Sonny Butts), Jenniffer Connelly (Richard Sedell), Joseph J. Altavilla, Jr. (Nicole), Mary Beth Nase (Donald) and Christine Connelly; and his great grandchildren, Donald Joseph, Madeline Mia, Joseph Luke and Vivian Isabelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, friends.
