It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Doherty Jr. of Metuchen, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Doreen Murren; his brothers, Raphael and William P. Doherty; and his parents, Ann Doherty and John Doherty.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kara Murren (Roger Schetrompf), Scott Murren (Elizabeth) and Megan Long (Jason); his great grandchildren, Bentlee, Christopher, Jacob, Justin, Kobianna and Autumn Blair; and his siblings, Suzanne McGuinness, Robert Doherty, Joseph Doherty (Doris), Michael Doherty (Karen) and Patrick Doherty (Christine).
