He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoang Quang-Van and Nguyen Thi-Can; and his siblings, Hoang Thi Anh Tuyet and Hoang Thi Sen. He is survived by: his wife Huong-Thi "Maria"; his children, Thuy-Trinh "Theresa" Hoang of Metuchen, Thuy-Tien "Lucia" Hoang of Metuchen and Hoai-Nam "Nam" Hoang of Metuchen; and his siblings, Quy Hoang, Tuan Hoang and Hanh Hoang. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
