We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2021, at the age of 80, Gerard Lapointe of Metuchen, New Jersey, born in Staten Island, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma LaPointe and Charles LaPointe; his significant other Patricia; his children, Christy McHale (Tom), Michael LaPointe (Christi Farina), Karen Capron (Frank), Bob LaPointe (Lauren), Janine Billman (Rich), Dorothy Sheker (Tom) and Daniel LaPointe (Toni); and his grandchildren, Julia, Brendan, Patrick, Colin (McHale), Frankie, Anna, Emma, Alana, Daniel (Capron), Sophia, Luke, Charles (LaPointe), Matthew, Michael, Kathryn (Billman), Makayla, Nathan, Caroline (Sheker) and Joseph Gerard (LaPointe). He was also cherished by his 7 children and their spouses, and his 20 grandchildren.
