Elizabeth Caunt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Caunt of Metuchen, New Jersey, born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Caunt; her son James R. Caunt; her grandchildren, George W. Caunt Jr. and Danielle Rolon; her parents, Joseph Klemick and Mary (Picherollo); her stepfather Louis Picherollo; her sisters, Christine Picherollo, Leona Gatlin and Esther Picherollo Terreri; and her brother-in-law Paul Cicalo Sr..
She is survived by: her close friends, Lorraine F., Lucy S. and Karen M.; her children, Cathy Ann Adams (Chris), George W. Caunt (Nancy), Dianne Beckman (William), Joan Reynolds (Greg) and Judith Vachna (Mike); her grandchildren, Brittany Newman Caunt, Corey R. Emerson, Nicole Bonaduce of High Bridge, Kristina Beckman of North Olmsted, OH and Nancy B. Caunt Spagnuoli of North Plainfield; her great grandchildren, Joseph, Santino Bonaduce of Bridgewater, Leni, Sia and Zephyr Rolon of Somerville; her sister Mary Cicalo of Edison; and also Louie A. Spagnuoli of North Plainfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home - Metuchen (568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Saint Matthew the Apostle Church (81 Seymour Ave, Edison, NJ 08817). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1401 Woodland Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to One Man, One Bike, One Child to help a disabled child and family from PRDS (Piscataway Regional Day Care) in memory of her grandson George W. Caunt Jr. or St. Matthew the Apostle RC Church or School in Edison.
