She is survived by: her daughter Ellen Schimmel (Kurt); her brother Rabbi Joseph Wernik (Miriam); her sister-in-law Joyce Wernik; her grandchildren, Michael Schimmel, Stephen Schimmel and Samantha Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Cole Schimmel, Charlie Ryan, Tyler Schimmel and Nathan Ryan.
