Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Amelia leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Mastrapa and Josefa Melero; her husband Jose Basadre; and her daughter Mercedes Basadre. She is survived by: her daughter Amelia Bennett of Metuchen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home - Metuchen (568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Resurrection Burial Park (899 E Lincoln Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854).
