He was predeceased by: his brother James Higgins Jr.; and his parents, James L Higgins and Anna Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his sons, John J. Higgins Jr. (Colleen) and Kenneth Higgins (Nadia Malik); his grandchildren, Kyle Higgins (Alison), Sarah Higgins (Alec), Sean Higgins (Karina), Zan Higgins, Zia Higgins and Caring; and his great grandchildren, Kane and Cashel Higgins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
