With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth M Shiels (Mendham, New Jersey), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on March 10, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Margaret Scott Besson and Robert Besson of Newark, NJ.; her husband Jack (Jack); her daughters, Margaret Konitzky (Gus) of Topsham, Ruth Corazza (Victor) of Bernardsville, NJ, Patricia Shiels of New York City and Catherine Moore (Brian) of Basking Ridge, NJ.; and her grandchildren, Brian (Nathalie), Madeline Moore, Samuel and Emma Corazza.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth's family requests donations to her alma mater Saint Elizabeth University (formerly the College of Saint Elizabeth) and to its Sisters of Charity, so they may continue to develop and support young women and men.
