He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Semona Gunhild and Charles Francis Whitney; his wife Janice Whitney; his children, Kathryn Whitney (Thaddeus Keefe), Chuck Whitney (Marsha Karpinen), Carolyn Poreda (Mike), Gail Whitney and Brian Eaves (Beth); his brother Frank Whitney (Kay); and his grandchildren, Tess Fetterly (Adam), Michael Sanek, Kaitlyn and Julia Eaves. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local ASPCA or animal shelter.
