He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Costa and Agnes Costa; his sibling Rose Palmisano; his brother-in-law Richard Heagen; and also Joe Palmisano.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Drew Costa (Cherri) of Kentucky, Joellen Manfredo (Michael) of Flanders and Nancy DeMott of Pine Beach; his sister Ann Heagen of Berkley Twp; and his grandchildren, Erica, Timothy, Bryan, Daniel, Teddy, Milo and Giada.
