He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gatto and Katherine Gatto; his wife MaryAnn Gatto; his brothers, Eddie, Tony and Phillip; and his sister-in-law Patty.

He is survived by: his children, Amy Gatto and William Gatto (Kelly); his siblings, Maryann Papale (Vince), Sue Liddy (Joe), Thomas (Tina), Jimmy, Ethel Merlock (Andrew), Jeanne Vannucci (Joe), Michael (Terry) and Theresa Mildren (Shawn); his sisters-in-law, Kate Gatto and Tammy Gatto (Jeri-Lynn Vernon); his great-niece Ava; and his close friend Toby Hellgren. He is also survived by his friends on the golf course and his friends.
