He was predeceased by: his son William A. Messner, Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Levia A. Messner; his sister Mary Ruppel; his brothers-in-law, James A. Longo, Sr. (Denise), Vincent Barcelone and Larry Barcelone (Janice); his nieces and nephews, Jean Marie Zitter (Jeffrey) and James A. Longo, Jr. (Tina); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ciara Nicole Zitter, Zachary Charles Zitter, Vincent James Longo and Vanessa Marie Longo; and his pet Savannah.
