It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Thomas Whaley (Mays Landing, New Jersey), who passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Whaley and Jacqueline Whaley; his siblings, Beverly Whaley Troup and Thomas Whaley; and his father-in-law Kenneth "Sonny" Burger.
He is survived by: his wife Sherri; his mother-in-law Betty Burger; his brother Brad; his sister-in-law Mary Kay Burger; his nephew Kenny Burger (Ellen); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bobby and Blythe Burger; his niece Taylor Burger; and his siblings, Phil Harter, Bo Roberts and Beverly Jo Scott.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Gulf Coast Musicians Medical Fund (GCMMF.org) or Save the Underdogs (SaveUnderdogsInPerdido, com) causes that Rick held dear.
