With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carlton Stokes of Mays Landing, New Jersey, who passed away on March 30, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola and James Stokes of Wilson; his wife Michele Ann Wilson; and his siblings, Thomas "Boise" Stokes, Dorothy Whitehead (William), Frank Stokes (Yolanda "Fille"), Donnie Stokes, Annie Joyner (Harry) and Janie Piland (William).

He is survived by: his sons, Carlton D. Stokes of Mays Landing, NJ and Quincy Stokes (Cheryl) of Dunn Loring, VA; his siblings-in-law, Robert Wilson of Atlantic City, NJ, Adrienne Stallings (John) of East Chicago, IN and Pam Cheeseboro (Llewelyn) of Baltimore, MD; and his grandson Chase Stokes of Dunn Loring, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
