We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2025, at the age of 88, Joseph Gerard Higgins of Matawan, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Clement Roman Catholic Church (172 Freneau Ave, Matawan, NJ 07747). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (360 Broadway, Keyport, NJ 07735).
