It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Clifton of Matawan, New Jersey, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James; her daughter Elizabeth; her brother William Devereaux; and her brothers-in-law, William and Daniel.
She is survived by: her children, James (Sheryl) of Newport News, VA, Judy (Peter), NJ Richard (Jean) of Newtown, PA and Robert (Tracy) of Matawan, NJ.; her grandchildren, Kelly (Scott), James (Kristyn), Caitlin (Joseph), Ryan Colleen, Kevin, Sean, Robert and John; her great grandchild Jay Durham; and her parents-in-law, Rosemarie, Joseph and Nancy Clifton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joan's name to Fulfill (The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Inc.) Relatives and friends are invited Friday, September 10, 2021 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 9 AM to 9:45 AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735.
