He is survived by: his wife Diane McKiernan (Esposito); his mother Margaret McKiernan (Lee); his children, James McKiernan, Jean-Anne Sandano and Danamarie Byrne; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Nico and Jayda-Marie.
He fought very hard and was extremely grateful for the donation he received. In light of paying his donation forward, with his passing James is donating the gift of life to another person in need through the Sharing Network.
