With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen A Sweeney of Matawan, New Jersey, born in Rumson, New Jersey, who passed away on November 15, 2020 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles and Helen; her close friend Caroline Phelan; and also, Delia and Leon Walling.

She is survived by: her goddaughters, Colleen Phelan (Jeff Burkel), Cathy Hrehowesik (Douglas) and Candace Neely (Thomas); her children, Sean, Zachary and Ryan; her godsons, Robert Phelan, Jr. and Theodore Phelan (Michelle); and her children, Taylor, Samantha and Matthew.

Due to COVID regulations, we can only allow 50 people at a time into the funeral home and masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Clement's Church in Matawan in Helen's Honor and Memory.
