It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Short (Matawan, New Jersey), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on August 23, 2018, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Durkin and Gertrude Durkin (Kraft). She is survived by: her husband Edward F. Short Sr.; her children, Edward F. Short Jr. of Matawan, Jennifer M. Benson (Jim) of Port Reading, Robert Short of Matawan and Susan E. Short of Old Bridge; her grandchildren, Sage, Akilah, Danny and Vanessa; and her siblings, Ann Durkin of Bloomfield and Paul Durkin of Arizona.
