He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Higgins and Virginia Higgins; his wife Eileen Higgins; his sons, Patrick and Tim Higgins; his siblings, Judy Roberts (Ben), Florence Higgins (John Lebens), Walter Higgins and John Higgins (Kristen Mrzlak); and his siblings-in-law, Ed McGrath (Julie Johnson-McGrath) and Patricia Branch (Nick).

Joseph L. Higgins will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his contributions to the arts, and his profound love for music and storytelling.
