He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Montgomery and Elizabeth Montgomery; his wife Loretta Lavery; and his sisters, Elizabeth, Elaine and MaryLou.
He is survived by: his brother Joseph Montgomery; his siblings-in-law, William Searfoorce and Rita Lederer; and his children, William J. Jr. (Francine), Thomas (Kathleen), Marybeth Walsh (James), Loretta Anne Corcoran (Joseph), Joseph (Amy), Gerard (Elizabeth), Richard (Jacki) and Robert (Jacqui). He is also survived by his twenty grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many loving nieces and nephews.
