He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anne and John Gill Sr.; and his children, Alicia of John, III and Chris. He was also cherished by partners, his eight grandchildren, great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the Church of the Resurrection or to Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center.
