She is survived by: her husband James Elliott; her children, Jennifer Sitek (Stefan), James VI (Danielle), Jonathan (Shannon), Justin (Lauren) and Jordan (Abbe); her grandchildren, Grace, Jimmy, Emma, James VII, Rylee, Daniel, Alexandra, Justin Jr., Thora, Ciaran, Asher and Adelaide; and her siblings, Joseph Carmichael (Flossie), Judi Yurick (late John) and Paul Carmichael. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

“Dear Family: I am sad to hear of Penny's passing, and I extend my deepest condolence. One of my fondest memories of her was dancing with Mom (Aunt Betty Martin) to the Mummer's Strut at so many family gatherings. I still hold the memory of them dancing at my wedding reception in 1972! I am certain there was a marching & dancing band awaiting her as she passed through the Pearly Gates of Heaven (in 'dem Golden Slippers) where so many were there to greet her.”
