She was predeceased by: her parents, Cora Whitehurst and James Whitehurst; her former husband Harry Berrien; and her husband Clifford E. Blackwell. She is survived by: her children, Carol Kester (Bill) of Bethany Beach, DE and James Berrien (Nancy) of Bayville, NJ; her grandchildren, Dr. Kimberly Friedman (Les) and Kurt Kester (Marybeth); her great grandchildren, Leanne, Karissa and Nicolas; and her stepson Paul Blackwell (Linda).
