Lorraine M. Petracci Obituary
Lorraine M. Petracci (nee Capone), age 84, of Marlton, NJ, previously of Medford and Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. She was the devoted wife of William A. Petracci and the loving mother of Adele P. Conner (Thomas), William M. Petracci (Patricia), Karen Darnall (Richard), and Michael K. Petracci (Jeanine). She was the doting MomMom to 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her dear sister, Joyce Capone. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Capone.
Anyone who was lucky enough to know Lorraine knew she was a beautiful woman, both inside and out–her smile could light up the room! She had enormous compassion and empathy for people and always put others before herself. She was born in Camden, NJ, to the late Theresa (Centanzo) and Frank Capone. She met and married the love of her life and beloved husband, Bill, and happily enjoyed raising her four children. Her gentle spirit, unconditional love, and generous nature were evident in everything she did. Her many talents included sewing, crocheting, cross stitching, ceramics, and quilting. She was the happiest making gifts and preparing meals to share with family, friends and people in need. Lorraine was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending weekly mass with her husband. Her faith, strength, and bravery, along with her husband's support, enabled her to battle and conquer several health issues she faced during her life.
Lorraine lived life to the fullest, never missing the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. While she loved traveling the world with her husband, she mostly cherished spending time with her family, especially in Ocean City, NJ. The highlight of every year was Christmas Eve. Lorraine joyfully prepared and hosted the entire family for the traditional Feast of Seven Fishes. She also enjoyed the theatre, concerts, the casinos, and leisurely day trips with her husband, Bill.
Lorraine's passing will leave an unfillable void in the hearts of many; however, comfort can be taken in the many loving memories shared with her. She was truly an angel on earth.
