He was predeceased by: his brother Earl Smith; and his parents, Earl Smith and Fayette Smith. He is survived by: his wife Denise M. Smith; his sons, Brandon and Daniel Smith; and his siblings, Fay Smith, Carl Smith (Cathy), Warren Smith (Vicki), Wayne Smith (Linda) and Karen Smith Marshall (Jack). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
