He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Joan A. Wainwright; his children, David Wainwright (Jennifer), Susan Danson (Craig), Brian DeLuca (Celeste), Ronald DeLuca (Sissi) and Kevin DeLuca (Kristin); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Brianna, Austin, Megan, Kaeley, Jack, Madeleine, Connor and Ashlynn; and his siblings, Norman Wainwright (Sandy), Barbara Capuano (James) and Jane Rhodes. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and loving friends.
