Don Maestrale wrote a sympathy message

“The first time I met Joel at work he gave me the feeling we were already friends. Many mornings when I came in not feeling like myself Joel would tell me one of his corny jokes and before I knew it I had forgotten about my aches and pains and problems. After we both retired we would talk a couple of times a month and toward the end I could tell his condition was worsening. I will miss our conversations and greatly miss him. RIP my friend. Love Don Maestrale”
