She was predeceased by: her son Mark Verbiski; and her parents, Earl Amos Doan and Lillie May Nealis Doan. She is survived by: her children, Ted Verbiski (Sandi), Kathy Rigney (Barney) and Sharon Finnerty (late Maurice); and her grandchildren, Patricia Salameda (Danny), Erica Moore, Alicia Hackett (John), Shari Bradley (Tim), Maurice Finnerty, Jr. (Pamela), Susan Forte (Gabriel) and Jeffrey Finnerty (Wendy).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local animal shelter in memory of Dorothy.
