Richard J Franzen wrote a sympathy message

“Bob and I coached TAA baseball together back in the 1980's Both of our sons were on the team. I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing, I had not seen him since Bobby died. "Trooper Cooper" was a great coach with the kids. His experience as a high school catcher allowed him to give Bobby and my son great advice on the art of being a catcher. He coached both first and third base and was always alert to what was happening in the game. He kept the kids on their toes. Rick Franzen”
