It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Caracappa Sr. of Marlboro, New Jersey, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Caracappa and Michael Caracappa; and his siblings, Philip Caracappa and Helen Bonacorsi. He is survived by: his wife Maria Caracappa; his children, Karen (Thomas Mondello) of Brick, John (Jeanine Caracappa) of Marlboro and Michael (Suzanne Caracappa) of Freehold; his siblings, Michael Caracappa, Gussie Discenza and Barbara Chirichella; his grandchildren, Jaclyn, Samantha, Thomas, John, Julia, Olivia, Macayla and Michael; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Leo and Lilly.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home (26 S Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Gabriel's Historic Church (549 County Rd 520 E, Marlboro, NJ 07746). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Cemetery St. Gabriel's Mausoleum (549 County Rd 520 E, Marlboro, NJ 07746).
