She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Timko and Catherine Timko (Ondocin); and her daughter Allison. She is survived by: her sister Catherine; her daughter Debbie (Mario) of Edison, NJ; her granddaughter Katie; her great grandchild Allyson of Highland Park, NJ.; her husband Edward Hegstetter; and also Mario Diaz.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waitt Funeral Home & Cremation Service (501 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ 07751). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Gabriels Historic Church (100 N Main St, Marlboro, NJ 07746).
In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made in Joan's memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's research Hospital. (see below).
