He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Steven Ryan (Barbara) of Colorado, Jennifer Birney (Christopher) of Williamstown and Sean Ryan of Bridgewater; his siblings, Michael (Maryann), Grace Geraty and Geraldine Hoffman; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Christine, Jason, Kelli Ryan and Matthew Birney.
